The Advanced Signal Processing Laboratory (ASP Lab), directed by Dr. Yimin D. Zhang, performs research and development activities in the broad areas of statistical and array signal processing for wireless communications and networking, radar, satellite navigation, radio frequency identification (RFID), and ultrasound technologies.
The ASP Lab is located at Room 603 of the Engineering Building, Temple University, 1947 N 12th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122.
The ASP Lab has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) to conduct theoretical and application-oriented projects related to array signal processing, compressive sensing, sparse array design and processing, machine learning, target localization and classification, time-frequency analysis, and optimization. Applications include active and passive radar sensing, spectrum sharing, target localization and tracking, elderly assisted living, and autonomous operations. Past sponsors also include the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Ben Franklin Technology Partners (BFTP).
